Library Discovery

Using Library Discovery from a distance

  • Restrict your Library Discovery search to just provide you with eBooks and online journal articles.  Type in your search and select the full text filter from the left hand side when the results first appear

  • As a distance learning student you can request a scan of a chapter of one of our print books or a single article from one of our print journals and this will be emailed to you. You can often find a chapter listing by clicking on the book title. To request a scan, select the Share icon on the book record, and copy and paste the link into an email to rreid@glos.ac.uk along with details of the chapter you would like

  • If a book is not available in eBook format, try searching for it online. Chapters may be available full text through University Research Repositories

Welcome

Welcome to the Libraries at the University of Gloucestershire. Although you are studying at a distance you will be able to make use of a large number of our resources. This page will give you an idea of how to find your way into our resources and services, but please contact Rachel Reid, your subject librarian, at rreid@glos.ac.uk if you have any questions or would like to make an online appointment.
